Privacy – Keeping it simple

We don’t use Google Analytics, Meta pixels, Hotjar, or any third-party trackers. However, our app is built with Javascript, Python and a few other code lingos. Some libraries might have a "number of downloads" on us and potentially phone home. Sorry about that.

However, You are not the product.

We only set a few tiny first-party cookies (prefixed with `idun_`)

Cookie purpose — Example value — Expires:

• Language preference — `idun_lang=en` — 1 year

• List/Grid view — `idun_blog_view=grid` — 1 year

• Dark/light mode — `idun_theme_rebelkayaks.eu=light` — 1 year

• Unsaved kayak design — idun_skiin_design= {JSON} — 1 year

• Login session — random token (expires when you log out or close the browser)

Our commitment

• We never sell or share your data.  

• Passwords are hashed (we can’t read them).  

• Everything runs on our own VPS hosting in the EU.

Note: we are registering some clicks in a closed loop on our server. Example:

When you are in a session on the site, each page you visit gets one click update, no matter how many times you visit it. You can also click "like/heart", but it is counted only once. Why do this? We know you are shy. To convince our authors to make as good content as possible, we need to know which ones are the most popular. To help (or roast) us, write a comment with your opinions whenever you have one.

Your are more than welcome to contribute with some content! It can be as wild 'n crazy as you or just a plain report on something you have done, witnessed, somewhere you have travelled or whatever.
